These are examples of Final Project Reports prepared by students who took this course in the Spring of 2001.
Students are encouraged to choose a final project topic related to their own research interests, in pure mathematics or any field of application. Some students may choose to focus on reviewing recent publications in a subject related to the course content, while others may focus on original research contributions involving analytical or numerical calculations. Some examples are available below from 2001, when a precursor to 18.366 was offered as 18.325 Topics in Applied Mathematics.
